I had been to Hush before for a few press days so I was really excited to go back, as the food always looked amazing. Nestled behind busy Oxford Street and down a pretty secret little lane you will find the gorgeous courtyard area and wonderful restaurant that is Hush. Other than that, my wife and I would recommend this place to our friends.So as I previously mentioned we had a farewell lunch for Michelle on Saturday at Hush in Mayfair. Hopefully the owner takes time to find solutions for these minor issues. We want to see this Black business continue to win. The wait staff isn't trained to be top-notch professionals.
(that's what makes us come back) I put that responsibility on you. My suggestion would be for the management team to walk around and greet the guests, make sure their guests are enjoying themselves. I noticed the owner / manager hasn't been commenting on the reviews lately. Lastly, our only set back which led to 4-stars ? was how long it took our waitress to get back to us.
? Our suggestion for the owner: Upgrading to touchless appliances in bathroom would help prevent the spread of Covid, etc. Our waitress offered suggestions on what her favs were. Both were delicious ? Drinks were on point. We ordered the Oxtails & Coconut ? Curry Salmon. Their live DJ was turnt up - playing R&B hits. We chose outside, even though we knew rain was expected. I?m not sure if the kitchen was backed up or not but there were people who came in 30 mins after us and got their food before us. *Update: The food took an hour but at least it was delicious and good portion. 2 stars because I like the music playing.
It?s currently slow in here with about 4 couples. so far it?s been 43 minutes for our food and it still hasn?t come. we didn?t order any apps and I?m writing this review as I?m sitting at the table. Drinks took about 15 to 18 minutes to come.
